The SparkFun DA16200 Thing Plus utilizes a highly integrated ultra-low power WiFi system on chip (SoC) from Dialog that allows users to develop WiFi and IoT solutions. The DA16200 module contains an 802.11b/g/n radio (PHY), a baseband processor, a media access controller (MAC), on-chip memory, and a host networking application processor. To make the Thing Plus as easy to use as possible, we've made the board Feather-compatible and it utilizes our handy Qwiic Connect System which means no soldering or shields are required to connect it to the rest of your system!
We'd love to say our Thing Plus boards come in all shapes and sizes, but they don't. Instead, they come in the same form factor all with different specifications and peripherals to meet a robust variety of needs. With the release of our new DA16200 Thing Plus, we wanted to make sure you knew everything about the ecosystem in case you had any questions!
We had some fun with our partners - Digi-Key, Analog Devices, Harting, and Würth Elektronik - to not only develop 10BASE-T1L SPE prototyping tools but to also put together a helpful demo/use case. The video above provides a quick look at the new prototyping tools and then moves to the demo.
While you are waiting for your dumpster dive to arrive, SparkFun Brand Ambassador, Jesse Brockmann thought he would give you a preview of what you may receive. Remember the dumpster dive is a bunch of random stuff, so nothing is guaranteed! You will not get the exact same items as in this box. You could even get a big roll of SMD resistors…… just kidding! It’s Christmas Morning so let's start unwrapping!
